Community projects

South East Qld Community Telco supports a number of community and not-for-profit organisations, events and initiatives.

By embracing the community through these activities, we contribute to the improved lifestyle of the general community in which we serve.

Our contribution to community programs and activities include web hosting support for:

Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir

The Blackstone Ipswich Cambrian Choir has been operating since 1886. It is now reputed to be Queensland's longest continuously-performing choir. Since these early days, the choir has developed into a more broad-based organisation. It has fostered the development of artistic and musical excellence among young people from the Ipswich area through the establishment of additional choirs for young singers.

The organisation currently incorporates three choirs:

  • the Senior Choir
  • the Cambrian Youth Choir
  • the Junior Cambrian Choir

The Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir is an incorporated, community-based, not-for-profit organisation. To find out more please call (07) 3282 1088 or go to their website:

Ipswich Golf Club

The Ipswich Golf Club has been part of the Ipswich community for three centuries. Established in 1897, the Club is currently enjoying its 109th year of operation.

The Club’s hilltop position allows for players to enjoy picturesque views to Cunningham’s Gap. With a fence line adjacent to the Amberley Air Force Base, it is common to have F1-11s flying overhead, providing an entertaining and enjoyable diversion from the 'mission at hand'.

South East Qld Community Telco sponsors the annual City of Ipswich Golf Championships.
